MILITARY EQUIPMENT

McNair Engineering has had a long, successful relationship with the MOD as an approved supplier of overhaul and repair services.
McNair Engineering  has worked directly with the MOD through Enabling Contracts and Local Purchase Orders  initially with the  ABRO and the DLO and latterly with the DE&S and DSG.
Examples of work undertaken include the following, much of which was performed under 5 year enabling contracts:

Overhaul

• Bottle and Trolley Jacks supply  and overhaul.
• Hydraulic Cylinders remanufacture for a wide range of equipment
• Vehicle and marine winch overhaul and testing.
• Fifth Wheel assembly overhaul and test.
• Track adjuster remanufacture
 

Manufacture

• CT Buckets
• Propeller shafts
• Hydraulic cylinders

McNair Engineering has considerable expertise in repair and refurbishment of items which are now considered legacy equipment, where spare parts availability is limited.

To date McNair has overhauled or manufactured over 15,000 items for the combined armed forces..

Through the ship repair industry McNair Engineering has  supported  the  Royal Fleet Auxiliary service with overhaul of winches on its vessels and a variety of jobbing engineering repairs and parts manufacture. .
